During our very short trip to London, we stayed with Rivkah and Giles, and Robbie (dog with a major fan club) in Crystal Palace - lots of hills and trees.
London is London. It was grey and threatening to drizzle most of the time. We did the boring things like buying maps (OK, quite exciting for us, but not everyone’s cup of tea) and collecting credit cards (of course, far more difficult than anticipated – this is England!). We visited the old Chiswick haunts. Apart from a few closed-down shops on the High Street, everything seemed much the same.
We also caught up with some of the Sakhalin Island crew and had dinner at Roka with Rivkah – great food overcame lacklustre service to make it a most enjoyable evening.

Great to catch up with your travels. A1 - on leave til 2 June looking to buy a house. Back yesterday for Innovation Seminar. Seems very sleepy. Probably wake up when you get back. Thinking perhaps job with Auditor General - should review public service culture barriers to productivity. Travel sounds more fun. Have a great time! Dorothy
